Agentic Workflows that monitor congresses, map evidence gaps, and draft cited responses to medical questions.
Ferma has been named a Finalist in the 2026 Fierce AI Innovation Awards, in the AI Innovation in Medical Affairs category, one of the categories under the awards' Commercial & Engagement track. The program, run by Questex's Fierce Life Sciences, recognizes organizations moving AI beyond pilots to deliver measurable impact across life sciences and healthcare.
We're excited to share the news: it's independent validation of what Ferma already delivers across pharma - finished, fully-cited deliverables that let BD&L, CI and Medical Affairs, and every team we serve spend less time gathering evidence and more time acting on it.

Ferma's submission centered on a problem every Medical Affairs team recognizes: the science is arriving faster than any team can read it, every claim that reaches an HCP has to be sourced, and the evidence gaps that put a label or launch at risk often surface only when a payer or competitor raises them first.
Three pressures shaped the entry:
Signal is outpacing the team. A single major congress brings thousands of abstracts in days, on top of tens of thousands of publications a year and constant pipeline movement.
Every claim must be sourced. Medical Affairs is non-promotional - nothing reaches an HCP without a citation, so teams spend hours sourcing and compliance-checking before anything ships.
Evidence gaps surface too late. Where a drug's evidence is thin - by endpoint, subgroup, or geography, often only becomes visible once a payer or competitor points it out.
Ferma is the AI-powered intelligence platform for life sciences - one platform that automates market research, pipeline monitoring, asset screening, deal analysis, and conference coverage for pharma and biotech teams. The awards entry focused on three Agentic Workflows built for Medical Affairs, all drawing on the same underlying data and knowledge graph:
Real-Time Scientific Intelligence - continuous monitoring of congresses, publications, and native-language China sources, producing a ranked session plan and fully-cited session summaries so teams stay current across a major congress as it happens.
Evidence Gap Analyzer - surfaces where a drug's evidence is thin by endpoint, sub-population, comparator, or geography, ranked by priority, with every gap linked back to its source evidence.
Field Inquiry Intelligence - clusters and ranks inbound medical inquiries after a major readout, drafts a cited response per cluster, and flags off-label questions for MLR review.
These three sit alongside a broader Medical Affairs Agentic Workflow suite that includes Congress Coverage, Competitive Evidence Landscape, KOL & Scientific-Leader Mapping, Publication Planning Intelligence, Advisory Board Prep, Medical Insights Engine, Literature Surveillance, and Custom Agents built to a team's own specification.
Every output is exportable as a stakeholder-ready PowerPoint, PDF, Excel workbook, live dashboard, or scheduled email brief - finished deliverables, not raw search results, with every claim traceable back to source.
The submission argued that literature databases, congress-monitoring tools, and general-purpose AI all stop at search or add more for a team to sort through - while Ferma's data, knowledge graph, methodology, and Agentic Workflows are built from the ground up to work as one system, returning finished, fully-cited deliverables. That end-to-end fit and the fact that Ferma's workflows are shaped by practitioners who have run Medical Affairs functions at large biopharma companies, not built by engineers guessing at requirements, was central to the entry.
Ferma was named alongside three other finalists in the AI Innovation in Medical Affairs category: Daiichi Sankyo, MadeAi, and Sorcero, per Fierce's official finalists list.
Fierce AI Innovation Awards winners are expected to be announced in the Fierce AI Innovation Report on September 2, 2026.
